Per quanto riguarda la raccolta "The ultimate collection" nel 2004, sono usciti diversi promo e sampler in tutto il mondo in particolare per far conoscere la l'inedita canzone CHEATER che, se pur risaliente a diversi anni prima come incisione, ? contenuta soltanto in questa raccolta.
In assoluto il più raro tra questi ? il promo giapponese che, all'inizio della promozione era discretamente reperibie, oggi ? molto molto raro. Non ha copertina ma solo una custodia rigida per contenerlo.
Contiene 2 canzoni: la demo di we are the world (cantata solo da Michael) e la canzone Cheater
